Administration Decries 'Democratic Fabrication' as Additional Epstein Estate Photos Disclosed
Democratic lawmakers have made public a additional set of what they termed "troubling" images from the property of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, including notably Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, and ex-UK prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
The opening batch of 19 imagesâsome of which have been previously circulatedâcombined with another 70 unveiled later on Friday represent a small number of the almost 100,000 images provided to the House oversight committee, which is probing the behavior and associations of Epstein.
The shamed investor died by apparent suicide in a New York prison cell in 2019 after being indicted on sex-trafficking crimes.
Prominent Personalities in the Images
Included in the notable figures shown in the initial batch are celebrities such as film director Woody Allen; Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates; and Richard Branson, originator of the Virgin conglomerate.
Donald Trump is pictured in three of the initial 19 images. In one, he is pictured with six women, whose faces are obscured.
Administration Reaction
The White House reacted to the release in a statement, accusing Democrats of purposefully "hand-picking" the images for electoral motives and to "attempt to fabricate a false storyline."
"This Democratic fabrication against President Trump has been repeatedly debunked," a presidential representative remarked, asserting that "the current government has achieved more for Epstein's victims than Democrats ever have by frequently urging transparency, releasing numerous documents of documents, and calling for additional probes into Epstein's Democratic associates."
Democratic Lawmaker Remarks
The photographs were released lacking captions, but as stated by a California Democrat and ranking member of the investigative panel, they prompt further inquiries about Epstein's links with affluent people.
"The moment has come to end this White House obfuscation and secure justice to the victims of Jeffrey Epstein and his influential associates," he declared in a release.
The disclosure of these materials occurs alongside the oversight committee pressing on with its inquiry into the Epstein case.
